Lease Terms
Tenants may commit to a Ssift Bedroom for a term not less than 90 days. Leases must start on the 1st or the 15th of the month. Tenants must provide first and last month's rent as well as a month of rent for a security deposit.
Security
Ssift has a security system through the house. All points of access including windows have sensors that alert upon entry. There is 24 hour surveillance on both the front entrance as well as the back entrance and driveway. There are keypad entry codes that are deleted when every tenant completes their stay.
Guest Policy
Every resident at Ssift has mostly unfettered authority to entertain guests. Ssift residents are not required to obtain authorization before opening the house to friends and family. The rule of thumb is respect and consideration for your roommates.
Pet Policy
The general rule is that pets are not permitted in Ssift. Some exceptions might be made for small caged animals however authorization is required before bringing pets into Ssift.
Public Transportation
Ssift is conveniently located close to several Septa lines. There are multiple bus, train, subway and trolley stops within short walking distance to the house. A commute into the heart of the city can take as little as 10-15 minutes.
Parking
University City is one of the few areas in central Philadelphia that still has some streets with unrestricted parking. While there are not many of these streets in the area, Ssift is fortuitously located on one of the few still around There is usually ample unrestricted street parking on the block, however if there is none to be found, Ssift has it's own secure off-street fenced in private driveway.
Nearby Attractions
Ssift encourages its tenants to explore the city and get to know all of the wonderful attractions Philadelphia has to offer there are multiple areas inside Ssift that can help inspire tenants on where to go and what to do. The china cabinet is filled with knick knacks representing Philadelphia's greatest attractions and the basement has photos portraying the same. Almost all of these recommendations are an easy commute from Ssift. Ssift is also conveniently located less than a few blocks from multiple grocery stores,many restaurants, a full service gym, convenience stores, pharmacies, Clark Park and a movie theater!
Cleaning Policy
Ssift's common areas must remain clean and organized at all times. To aid in this plight a cleaning company will visit the house once a month to clean all common areas including the kitchen, living room and dining room as well as all of the bathrooms. However it is up to the residents to have pride in their home and keep it looking awesome!
